The project comprises of a large state-of-the-art Lecture Theatre providing seating for 180 persons. The addition provided a new student lounge and administrative offices for the College's expanding Continuing Education Department. A new 80-seat classroom was also incorporated into the design.

This building was built using a Construction Management approach. The building comprises of several previously off-campus programs, including English as a second language and Job Readiness Training programs. It also houses a small daycare facility, a buffeteria, math learning centre and several multi-purpose rooms. The project was completed ahead of schedule and under below the preliminary construction budget.

The centre was awarded through an Architectural competition. It houses the Student body administration, Seminar Rooms, Study Centre, Pub-lounge, Fast Food Concessions, Retail Stores, Radio and TV Station. Phase I incorporates the old Arnold Student Centre.

McMASTER UNIVERSITY MMRI ADDITION

The newly built $2.7 million MMRI laboratories provide cutting edge facilities and technologies in machining, metal forming, polymer processing, and computing, resulting in outstanding research and education opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as post – degree professionals. The MMRI is one of the largest University Manufacturing Research Institutes in Canada. The addition consists of a Polymer Processing Laboratory; Machining Systems Laboratory and state of the art computer rooms, labs and Teaching and faculty areas. The MMRI provides a focus for high profile research, and is a vehicle for University.
